Position

In this broad position as an Embedded Software Engineer, you are responsible for developing embedded software (C) for customer specific products (serieproduction) and R&D developments. The products are built from scratch, so you come into contact with low level embedded, real-time system and security. In addition, the development is completely carried out in-house, the large engineering team is continuously working on design, testing, verification, manufacturability and production. During the product design phase your input will be used in the desicion making for hardware components. The products are fully assembled on location and you can walk into the production or test facilities to view your work in real life.

Your responsibilities includes the following:
✓ Timely and complete development, programming, modification and completion of embedded software.
✓ Work in multidisciplinary project teams to ensure that the design optimally meets all customer requirements.
✓ Analyzing customer and product definitions and determining design requirements.
✓ Supervising verification and validation tests and analyzing the results (Python, C++).

Position requirements

You help this innovative product developer to develop the next generation of systems for the automotive market. With your communication and analytical skills you are able to set the right priorities. You are able to work together with the other Engineers, but also carry out projects independently.

Next to that recognize yourself in the following requirements:
✓ HBO or WO Computer Science, Embedded Software, Electrical Engineering or similar.
✓ Experience with low level programming in C, really close to the hardware. At a product development company or similar. People with similar experience from a relevant study are also invited to apply.
✓ You live in the Amersfoort area (+-1 hr driving).

Organisation

This originally Dutch company has been supplying systems for heavy vehicles and vessels for over 30 years. For several years they have become part of a multinational, which means they are able to serve well-known OEM manufacturers. This offers the possibility to offer these systems directly in their production lines so that they can be installed integrated on the end product.

The team of 250+ people are now working on the further professionalization and transition to a tier 1 supplier in the OEM world. At the head office in the Netherlands, the Product Development (PD) department has more than 40 multidisciplinary colleagues working on new innovations and further development of existing products.
